My Gigandes Beans are well on their way to growing me my own personal bean stock!  I planted 8 seeds on March 28th in good quality soil, put them on a heat pad and waited.  It didn’t take long for the seeds to burst through the soil and now they are 6″ and I can practically see them growing!  We set up a grow light over the heat pad so the plants are snug and warm, I want to push them a side and get under the grow light myself.   Also sharing the heat pad and light are my 3 varieties of tomatoes and 2 out of the 3 varieties are up.  Clinging to the corners are two new lilly bulbs, I need a bigger heat pad.  I like the new set up with the heat pad and grow light, it  could be a whole new branch of gardening for me!  At the rate the beans are growing they will be in their own pots soon, I think for fun I will give them little stakes to climb!
