Getting out and spending time in nature is a great way to say good-bye to the old year and hello to the new one! We are so fortunate in British Columbia, Canada to have access to such magnificent nature just outside our doors. It really is a lovely little corner of the world! After taking pictures of the different mountain ranges, I jumped in my Fiat to enjoy the last cold day of the year by going for a drive and a walk through the forest.
I was really invigorated by the cold sunny weather so trudged up the stairs and when I finally I got to the look-out point I realized I really must get out and do this more often! But all the huffing and puffing was worth it, it really is breathtaking.
It was still early by the time I came down the stairs so I went further up the Chilliwack River highway to see the Tamihi Rapids. Apparently kayak races are held here, oops I hope this is right, either way the water comes right out of the glacier and its cold!
What a great day I had, when I got home of course I had a cup of tea and since its new years I added something special to warm me up! HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!
Heather, the photos are beautiful! What a lovely way to ring in the new year. Happy New Year to you & Terry!
